Account Manager

40 hours per week

Natural enemies, microorganisms, and bio stimulants ensure that the crop is healthy, resilient and vital; both above ground and the root system environment. Our bumblebees take care of the natural pollination of crops. In this manner, we offer our customers a strong and sustainable alternative to chemical crop protection. Koppert has approximately 1100 employees, of whom 400 work in the Netherlands. The head office is in Berkel and Rodenrijs, close to Rotterdam and The Hague, and is easy to reach by public transport. Koppert has 25 subsidiaries worldwide.

This is a key position!

The duties and responsibilities for this position will evolve over time as the situation changes with respect to products and services offered in the Area. However the purpose of the job is clear! In this position you support the Area Manager in managing new business opportunities and maintaining/developing our relationships with distributors and customers in Central/East Europe & Scandinavia with a clear focus on: Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.

You will spend most of your time with the Distributor network but will also get involved in direct contact to our end users. Our products are market leading and sustainable and our Sales strategy requires a consultative selling approach and therefore technical knowhow about our products.

As Account manager you generate revenue by developing market potential through new product development opportunities and partnerships and alliances with new distributors. You oversees market analysis, maintain knowledge of our industry and act upon market dynamics and trends to address client needs and grow revenue. You support also the ordering process and you represent Koppert at fairs/congresses.

Your profile:

  • bachelor degree;
  • a first work experience in a commercial position within the horticulture is a must;
  • some work experience with the distributor network is a wish;
  • you are a go getter! Someone that strives to excellent performances and 100% service;
  • you are known as a talented problem solver who is able to communicate and built relationships with different people from different cultures;
  • you are energetic, optimistic and persevering;
  • work with a high level of independence gives you energy;
  • you communicate effectively, in Dutch, English and Russian (is a pre);
  • you live in the Netherlands and you are willing to work flexible hours and to travel frequently (+/- 30-35%) to Eastern Europe.
